Bedtime Dilemmas....

What is it about kids and going to bed, especially older kids. We have a 12yr old son who knows his bedtime is at 9:30 and each night we tell him in advance that he needs to get ready for bed. However, it seems like a never-ending battle to get him to go. Anyone with any suggestions before I do something drastic?

We have those problems at our house too.....except my kids are only 4 3/4 and 6. Two go to bed really well, the others not so much. Maybe Angus should come hangout with them, they would drive him nuts and then he would be begging to go to bed:) You would think that he would love to sleep being a teenage boy......better yet, maybe he can come entertain my kids so I can just go to sleep!!!

Welcome to my world! Since I live with you, I guess you already know how I feel on that subject, lol. Maybe we ought to take Kathy up on her suggestions especially since Angus and Jeff are home-teaching companions. Angus might as well stay there after an evening of HT and play with their kids.

I don´t have any advice...but maybe you can remember what you did when it comes time for me to ask the same question.

Welcome to the blogging world.

welcome to blogging! Since Ethan is two and a half and I have enough of a hard time getting him to bed I can only imagine what it will be like when he's a teenager. Maybe you should send him over to the other Nelson's, I am sure the kids would tire him out eventually!

Matt always offers to "choke me out" when I can't get to sleep...so I probably can't offer any good advice! Ha ha ha ha!

i tried to leave a comment here before but i noticed that it didn't work. I also noticed that you haven't posted in a while. How are things going with your new school adventure?? We'd love to hear a post all about that!
